Evidently I haven't tried hard enough to get the changefiles 'tie'd up.
Still, on account of the extent of the necessary changes, I'd really
like to avoid messing with the first banner line and just print the
additional line, perhaps as:
source specials enabled (incompatible with TeX)
or something like that.
